Medical Records Technician

Medical Records Technicians play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity, accuracy and accessibility of patient health information across hospital services in Hamburg, Germany. This role supports clinical workflows, coding, and regulatory compliance.

• Maintain and organise physical and electronic patient records to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Apply ICD-10 and procedural coding where required and liaise with clinical teams to clarify documentation
• Process requests for release of health information in compliance with privacy legislation
• Support implementation and optimisation of electronic health record systems
• Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives

• Diploma or degree in Health Information Management or equivalent
• Familiarity with ICD coding, health information governance and EHR systems
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
