The agreement ensures a steady pipeline of qualified African nurses into Canada'...
Mehermedics International Recruitment and the Toronto Home Care Alliance (THCA) have signed a landmark three-year staffing agreement to address the critical nursing shortage in Ontario's home care sector. The agreement commits Mehermedics to providing a minimum of 30 qualified nurses and personal support workers per year to THCA member organisations, with a shared commitment to supporting full Canadian registration and successful long-term integration.
Under the terms of the agreement, Mehermedics will manage the end-to-end recruitment and pre-placement process: candidate selection, credential verification, NCAS (National Credential Assessment Service) assessment facilitation, College of Nurses of Ontario registration support, and pre-departure orientation. THCA member organisations will provide structured six-week orientation programmes, mentorship pairing and competitive salary packages to successfully placed candidates.
This agreement reflects the confidence of Canadian healthcare providers in the quality of internationally educated nurses from Mehermedics' African agent network, and underscores the growing recognition that a well-supported internationally educated nurse can deliver exceptional care from day one of placement.
